Special Education

Giving children some extra care, attention, and support

Extra help and support in learning concepts and topics at school can be broadly termed Special Education. Many children benefit from this form of therapy because it assists them in catching up with their peers.

Kids with learning disabilities due to emotional, behavioral, physical, or mental disabilities are eligible for Special Education and many of them have benefited greatly from the program. Services offered usually include

  1. Speech Therapy
  2. Occupational Therapy
  3. Individualized Education Program
  4. Art Therapy
  5. Music Therapy
  6. Physical Therapy

Special Education is delivered or offered by not just one therapist because the needs of the child may vary. At times, an Occupational Therapist may take the lead but other children may need Physical Therapy and Art Therapy more. This is why, the program is not template-based. It depends on the shortcomings of the child and the areas that need to be worked upon. There are also support specialists with an educational and professional background in Special Education who oversee and drive the sessions.
